Game Schedule
Spring Break Workouts |
Our goals are lofty this year. In order to compete all year with the teams on our schedule plus be healthy for the post-season, we must come back after break in game-ready shape.
Given our late start, you must make every attempt to push yourself physically to maintain conditioning, increase arm and shoulder strength, and if possible, visit a batting cage. Pitchers must continue to work on how the ball comes out of their hand and your arm slots. All Players - In order to keep your current fitness level, do the following daily: 30-min. routine: Warm up, jog, stretch, energy workout, super 7, 50 pushups, & 50 sit-ups. Throw for 10-15 min. Go for a run. Pitchers: the above daily workout plus...do a bullpen on a three day rotation. Day 1) warmup, 15 pitches, rest for 5 min., 15 pitches, rest for 5 min., 15 pitches, stretch. Day 2) warmup and toss Day 3) warmup and long toss Day 4) Bullpen (repeat day 1) ... Most of the workouts above can be done on your own. Plan ahead, if you're not sure you'll be able to throw with someone, take an old ball or two to toss against a wall. At the very least you can do the wall drill and run through some "Tom Seaver's" to work on your mechanics and pitches. |
